Yin, I can't wait for Gao Xing. Really. It's going to be better than Storm Warriors.

LW, hate mail is rare but it does happen. I may print some on this blog one day.

Les, the word "eunuch" is not comforting either.

darren, sadly work is not boring for me, so more updates may not happen.

Peter, thanks for the compliment. I'll probably use "Better than Half-Bad" as the new site motto.

^^^

I share the sentiment.. visit your site every week or so, and consider it the best source of snarky jabs at Donnie Yen on the 'net.

Also your reviews aren't half-bad.

You can refer to an ox as a bovine eunuch if you prefer--maybe it sounds more poetically Chinese and less brutal?

That poster for Gao Xing is truly hideous!

Achillesgirl, the bug is a done deal. Really. And I'm still alive.

V, the blog thing is not fully decided upon not is is Storm Warriors review duty. I'll decide when I get there. Who knows, it may be that I'm not even in Hong Kong when Storm Warriors comes out.

Saiyu, next time I go to Olympic I'll look for the oxen. :) The shell isn't too bad. The worst part is finding it in your teeth later.

Marc, the picture of Charlene was from her fan celebration for her birthday. Like everything else on this site I appropriated it for my own nefarious purposes.

Les, good to hear from you! Not so happy to hear about the castrated bull part, though.

Gung hay fat choy, Sun nien fai lok, Sun tai geen hong. Early birthday greetings Kozo! Good fortune and good health! As you begin your third cycle of the Lunar Zodiac be sure to pick up a copy of the Tong Sing. It's a Chinese version of Poor Richard's Almanac and the Farmer's Almanac -- an annual reference book of practical and astrological knowledge. Recall that in animal husbandry an ox is a castrated bull -- to me that's not a very auspicious sign. That's probably why both the Tao Jones and the Hang Seng are performing badly in these precarious financial & economic times. You'll consult the Tong Sing as a prognosticator to navigate this incoming year and prevent further erosion of your net worth. It will warn you about bad hair days, weather forecasts, and auspicious days to plan for a wedding. If nothing else, the volume looks good on your bookshelf/desk as an anniversary souvenir of your birth year. Sorry if I'm sounding like a Chinese fortune teller but it must be ancestral memory. BTW that Louis Koo guy's private collection will end up on e-bay if financially he does poorly this year. The alternative is jumping off a high rise.

oh...eating the shell must be a nightmare of you. I think there are some huge stuffed golden oxen in Olympic city same as the pictures you have shown above, but they are not for sale. Taking a look would be fun too.
