I really wasn't affected much emotionally by Bodyguards and Assassins as I usually am by heroic movies. Person I cared most about was Nic Tse surprisingly. Donnie takes out horses with ease in EMPRESS, but in BODYGUARDS the outcome isn't so simple. I'm sure Donnie Yen doesn't like horses, but this time around, THE HORSE DOESN'T LIKE DONNIE. Donnie Yen doesn't like horses! A HEROIC TRIO of gangland assassins (Anthony Wong, Lam Suet, Gordon Lam) offers to HELP him with his MISSION while risking being EXILED by their over-the-top triad boss (Simon Yam). I've never watched the tv show, so when I watched the movie I didn't have any kind of expectation or background of the charecters.
