I saw TOO MANY WAYS TO BE NO 1 only recently and I have to say it’s one of the most hilarious movies ever made, not only in HK but worldwide, absolutely brilliant filmmaking. I just don’t understand why most of early Milkyway films like A HERO NEVER DIES, EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED or THE MISSION never got proper (and english-friendly) DVD release.

Well, your comment on TOO MANY WAYS made me think…I wonder how a hypothetical version of these rankings would look in which all relevant films were equally available on DVD. I’m pretty sure it’d change up a lot of stuff.

Nice to see the Bruce Lee movies getting some love. I think every one has made an appearance except for the best one: FIST OF FURY (aka CHINESE CONNECTION). Hope that portends it appears higher up on the list.

Mad at myself for forgetting THE LOVE ETERNE. Should have put it in my Top 10.

I thought Enter the Dragon would have rated way higher, but still a diverse range of movies that I would not have expected and even more so than the various lists from A Hero Never Dies’ blog earlier in the year. I think there may be some film historians who are fans of your site.
