Yay, the Day 2! Happy days!! Reading your comments, sharing laughs and reminiscing about these movies is definitely making this world a better place, not alone my life, haha. Thank you, Kozo for doing this. I will wait to see what comes next!!

@J, about OFFICE, that entire blurb is meant to parody the brouhaha over the recent direction of the STAR WARS films. I'm not aware of anyone actually hating it for the reasons I mentioned, though comments about Johnnie To "wasting his time" are quite common when he announces non-crime movies. For the LOVE IN A PUFF movies, I disagree, however. Many people still watch movies for reasons other than politics, and those movies will likely be revisited for their cultural impact and Pang Ho-Cheung.

I have not seen as many of these as I would like. South Korea kind of took Hong Kong's place in terms of most films from the most films watched from the one country over the decade.

Cook Up a Storm is still an accidental comedy masterpiece.

I feel like you’re a little out of touch on a few notes here: for example, OFFICE was hated not necessarily because people wanted guns and bullets but because people wanted (and still want) Johnnie To films in Cantonese. The LOVE IN/OFF A/THE PUFF/BUFF/CUFF trilogy probably won’t be rewatched for years to come because the two leads are now staunch PRC worshippers.
