I would've love to see Erotic Eye in the Sky...

I disagree about Ada Choi, I think out of all of the Miss HK contestants she has been the best actress and she could have pulled off Kate's role, look at her performances in her early movie roles. Amy Kwok also wasn't bad if I recall correctly...

A lot (and I mean a lot!) of HK people did not like Kate Tsui winning Miss HK and then continued to bash her acting. I did not really see much of series before STEPS so I can't judge her earlier career, but I thought she was good in STEPS. Haven't seen Eye in the Sky yet but I'm guessing she was probably one of the better TVB stars on the big screen in recent history.

... and I think she's pretty too. TVB is planning on massively promoting her now despite people's criticism so I'm all for watching more of her on TV.

BTW, winning any TVB award is not an indication of anything since it's all just a favouritism schmoozefest.

How about Theresa Lee? She was doing this kind of role in the mid-90s. I think she would be the equal of Kate Tsui.

I didn't think much of Kate Tsui in Eye in The Sky but I did find her sexy in her girlfriend role in Contract Lover. She was quite good at playing that kind of yuppie, career woman, thankless role. Maybe in femme fatale-type parts, she's got a good future.

I'm anxious to see what you think of Exodus -- I was a bit late in finally watching it -- it is a weird film even by Hong Kong standards but the production values are so high that it adds a kind of art film sheen to everything. I still don't know if I loved it or merely tolerated it.

I agree with you about No Country. The movie is just relentless until that ending. If it had a better ending it would be the odds on favorite to win the Oscar.

I haven't seen Eye in the Sky yet but I'll check it out soon.

I've watched The Price of Greed and The Brink of Law and Kate Tsui's acting in those shows is bad. But those series are older and I haven't seen her more recent ones so maybe she's better now. I think she won Most Improved Actress at the TVB Awards this year.
