Review
by Kozo:

The lovely Joyce Godenzi (Mrs. Sammo Hung) is Mina, a top female cop who’s married into the Huangs, HK’s official cop family. Her husband is Tony Leung Ka-Fai, and her sisters-in-law include Carina Lau and Sandra Ng. Some of the family is a little peeved at Mina, because she’s moving up the promotion ladder faster than her husband. They think a woman shouldn’t best her husband, but he really doesn’t mind. Enter Vietnamese bad guy Yuen Wah, who goes on a robbery/killing spree. He’s initially thwarted by Mina, but he gets away. Meanwhile, Carina finds herself at odds with Mina. Then tragedy strikes, leading to all sorts of histrionic HK-style melodrama.

Cheesy music and crying aside, the film provides some of the best female action this side of Michelle Yeoh. Former beauty queen Godenzi more than acquits herself, doing her own stunts and kung-fu. A special highlight of the film is the showdown between Godenzi and Agnes Aurelio, which is sure to make audiences wince. The drama in this film is clichéd and way overdone, but Corey Yuen’s action and Joyce Godenzi’s presence are more than enough to make up for the film’s B qualities. For fans of fighting females, this flick is a must-see. (Kozo 1998)
