Review
by Kozo:
Nat Chan Bak-Cheung continues to make movies that should never have been made. This semi-sequel to the awful L-O-V-E....Love features "Ah Leck" playing thirty years below his age as one of three doofus guys out to hit on The Sweeties, an all-girl lounge act. Suspension of disbelief is required in this genre, because amazing babes actually go for goofy-looking guys without any real explanation. Then there’s the rich millionaire who fakes being poor to find a girl that’ll love him for himself, not his money.
As usual, the babeage in this genre is exemplary. Both Kristy Yeung and Annie Wu are pretty young things on the rise. Why they chose to make this waste of celluloid is beyond me, as they’re obviously being given much better roles in other movies (Comrades Almost a Love Story, Eighteen Springs, Portland Street Blues, and Island of Greed to name a few). Featuring Simon Lui and Emily Kwan as the wacky bad guys. This film also features a gag that absolutely trashes Sammi Cheng and Ekin Cheng Yee-Kin. Simply a horrible, horrible movie. Has anyone ever made a good Chasing Girls movie? (Kozo 1998)
